University of Michigan Law Professor David Moran Speaks About Wrongful Convictions
David Moran, University of Michigan law professor and co-founder of the Michigan Innocence Project, is working diligently to recognize and reach out to the wrongly convicted.
A variation of the well-know Innocence Project, founded by Barry Scheck, Moran’s Innocence Project is based less upon scientific evidence and more on jailhouse snitches, lazy lawyers, shady cops and overlooked evidence.
Only 5 to 10% of all criminal cases involve biological evidence that could be subjected to DNA testing. Moran’s Michigan Innocence Project is accepted as part of the Innocence Network, a national organization of groups investigating and overturning wrongful convictions.
