Paul Cortez Granted Leave!

We are very excited to announce that on July 17th, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman of the New York Court of Appeals granted Paul leave to appeal his case.

Paul now has the opportunity to present his appeal before the highest court of New York and to argue for a new trial. For context, keep in mind that the NY Court of Appeals gets about 2,500 of these criminal applications a year and only grants about 3-4% of them.
